Carrie Tron

Artistic Director/Business Owner, The Isadora Duncan Youth Ensemble and Naiad Contemporary Ballet

Carrie Tron began her training with Istavan Rabovsky at the age of three. She was given a scholarship to the Harkness House for Ballet Arts where she studied with Nikita Talin, Nancy Clement, Julia Simone and Gelsey Kirkland. She was also trained at the Boston Ballet school and with Marcia Dale Weary at CPYB, with New York City Ballet and many others.She received her BA in dance performance from Skidmore College and her MA in Dance in Higher Education from NYU. She was a member of the Isadora Duncan International Institute under the direction of Jeanne Bresciani, Dancers for Isadora, and the Duncan Dance Continuum. Her Legacy derives from the adopted daughters of Duncan, Maria-Theresa, Anna and Irma, or the “Isadorables”.

Ms.Tron has also been privately coached by the late Hortense Kooluris and Julia Levien, considered to be the leading experts in the field. She was a member of Youssry Sharif’s Egyptian Caravan, Gamilla El Massri’s Benat El Nessma Dancers, and an original cast member of Jehan Kamal’s Goddessdance, as well as a cabaret Middle-Eastern performer at clubs throughout NYC like Club Ibis under the direction of the late Serena Wilson.

Ms. Tron has been teaching for the last two decades throughout the tri-state area, including the Northern Westchester Center for the Arts and serving as Classical Director at the Pulse Performing Arts Studio. She choreographs, teaches and lectures throughout the world, and has dedicated her life to bringing the legacy of power and beauty through movement to the next generation of dancers.
